Custom roller dies

Ideal roller dies are used for marking a variety of products of varying shapes and sizes. Marking can be made lengthwise or around the parts. The surface area to be marked, whether flat, concave or beveled, is always tangent (point contact) to the characters on the face of the die. By using this method, lighter equipment can be used and uniform depth impressions obtained. Ideal has designed these roller dies for production marking. The dies can be mounted in lathe tool post forked holders, arbors on milling machines, holders on Ideal standard marking machines or similar equipment now in use.

How to order

Specify holder to be used in.
Specify character size and reading matter.
Submit blueprint or sketch and note collet or cut off end of part.
Indicate (if important) relation of characters to collet end.
Indicate S.F.M. if above 550.
